My Neck Piece and a Spooky Good Time
This past weekend I was asked to judge Houston's Gothic Beauty Pageant and it was a lot of fun! I wore an outfit from LS's Blacklist line that I ordered months ago and finally got in. I have lost interest in most LS but I thought this outfit was pretty and had been looking for an opportunity to wear it. The best part of my outfit was not the LS, but my custom neck piece made by my friends at Black Swan Theory! I absolutely heart them and all of my jewelry from that night was made by them. You can explore their site HERE.
Here are some photos of my outfit and a few candid photos with my friends. Please pardon the image quality; I only brought my iphone. :)

Painting the Roses
Just a little craft project. For a fashion show I did a few years back I made a series of hair pieces consisting of flowers dipped in various colored latex and shined in the same fashion as latex garments. I am not interested in making hair pieces but thought I would revisit the process for fun. I started with black because I wanted to make a piece for a small spot in my room.

Okay, I'm ready. And flowy frocks.
Perusing the net at my usual spots and I am seeing some little wants for spring. Here are a few. Flowy and sheer, sexy and comfy.

Polka Dots!
Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 does not disappoint! So much so, that it was difficult to leave out images of pieces. I love the polka dots, the experimentation with material and texture, and the lines! These pieces are structurally strong but also so complimentary to the female body.. also a nice hybrid of romantic and mod (IMO). THIS is why I love fall.. SO I'll just go into shopping hibernation until then.
